Disposable plastic is a hot topic. Here Shimadzu has analyzed a product designed to contain heat – Coffee cup lids. Both lids display the symbol of recyclable Poly Styrene but have different colors. The question is what makes one appear white and the other black? Analysis by the non-destructive techniques FTIR and EDX can answer that.

ELGA LabWater is expanding in Norway

ELGA LabWater has been locally present through distribution partners in Norway for more than 40 years. The market has over the last years had a very positive development and the general need for purified water are growing.

Due to increasing need for support and service in the Norwegian market, ELGA LabWater has decided to expand their local presence by appointing one more distributor. As of 1st of May 2018, the new distribution setup in Norway will be shared between BioNordika AS and Nerliens Meszansky AS. BioNordika AS will become ELGA Labwater sole distributor for the MEDICA, BIOPURE and CENTRA range of products, taking care of sales, support and service, whereas Nerliens Meszansky AS will become ELGA Labwater sole distributor for the PURELAB range of products.
