The use of highly validated recombinant monoclonal antibodies in cell suspension and imaging mass cytometry platforms
Mass cytometry uses metal-tagged antibodies for multiplex analysis of protein markers in single cells (cell suspension CyTOF) and in tissue sections (imaging CyTOF). The former requires flow cytometry validated antibodies and the latter requires IHC validated antibodies. While antibodies have been a key reagent driving advancements in biomedical research, there are increasing numbers of publications raising concerns about the quality of antibodies and their irreproducibility.
In this seminar, I will discuss how Cell Signaling Technology’s antibody validation efforts can lead to high quality rabbit monoclonal antibodies showing exquisite specificity, sensitivity, and reproducibility across multiple applications, including IHC and flow cytometry. The recombinant nature of our monoclonal antibodies assures consistent performance and availability making them ideal for inclusion in CyTOF panels. We will also discuss the protein-free formulations and high concentration of antibodies required for metal conjugation, and the custom solutions possible from Cell Signaling Technology
