Biosan
20% off all microcentrifuge-vortexes
Biosan’s microcentrifuge-vortexes combine vortex and centrifuge in one instrument. From the regular FV-2400 and FVL-200N instruments that are equipped with a teflon cup at the top of the spinner allowing single tubes to be mixed, to the more advanced MSC-3000, MSC-6000 and PCR-plate centrifuges that have Biosan’s Spin-Mix-Spin program: All the samples are spun down, mixed, and spun down again – all without leaving the centrifuge!

Spin-mix-spin
Several of the centrifuges above, as noted in the description, feature the the spin–mix–spin function. This is a standardized sequence of centrifugation and mixing steps designed to ensure complete recovery and homogeneous distribution of reagents in PCR plate wells or tubes. In the first “spin” step, a brief centrifugation collects the liquid at the bottom of the wells or tube. This is followed by a “mix” step, vortexing to thoroughly resuspend and homogenize the reaction components. A final “spin” then re-collects any droplets from the tube walls and sealing film or cap back to the bottom. As all this is done without having to remove the tubes or plates from the centrifuge, it significantly reduces handling time per sample.
