LunaCrosslinker™
LunaCrosslinker™ is a visible-light system that allows researchers to control how firm or soft the LunaX™ gel becomes. Gel stiffness is precisely controlled by light exposure time: shorter exposure yields a softer gel, while longer exposure results in a stiffer matrix. Unlike traditional UV-based systems, LunaCrosslinker™ uses visible light, which is much safer for cells, reducing photodamage and DNA mutations. This results in higher cell viability and makes it ideal for long-term 3D culture studies.
The system enables rapid, uniform crosslinking across standard well plates, ensuring consistent mechanical properties and easy integration into existing workflows.
