PCR workstations
PCR workstations by Biosan provide a clean, well-lit work area for handling PCR reagents and samples. The air volume of the cabinet is recycled 100 times per hour through a closed module with filters and a UV source powerful enough to inactivate DNA and RNA, ensuring aseptic conditions. The cabinets have a very low noise level and power requirements.
The Biosan PCR workstations share several common features:
- Digital controls: A touchscreen digital control panel that can also be operated when wearing gloves
- UV recirculator: A module that circulates the cabinet air volume 100 times per hour across dust filters and an enclosed UV-C lamp to ensure an aseptic environment during use
- UV light with timer function: A 254 nm ozone-free UV-C lamp for decontamination of the work area when the cabinet is not in use – the timer can be set from 1 minute to 24 hours, or in continuous mode
- Cover with safety switch: The cover for closing the cabinet during UV decontamination has a safety switch which disables the UV light should the cover be removed
- LED daylight lamp: Providing excellent visibility while ensuring low power consumption
- Power outlets: All models have an inlet port for passing instrument power cords into the cabinet. Several models also feature power sockets inside the cabinet
- Ergonomic and durable design: Metal framework for a sturdy and stable construction and UV-resistant materials
- Quiet operation and low energy consumption
- UV radiation level: 18 mW / cm2 / s

The shelf is easy to assemble using the shelf mounts already in the cabinet.
Should you have an older cabinet made before the shelves became available, we can provide a mounting kit to retrofit shelf mounts - please contact us and include the serial number of the cabinet (normally found on a label next to the power inlet) for information.
