Electrophoresis
We offer a comprehensive portfolio of nucleic acid gel electrophoresis products for DNA and RNA separation, including the FlashGel system from Lonza for rapid, ready-to-use electrophoresis. For casting your own gels, we supply standard agarose (LE) from EuroClone, specialty agaroses from Lonza and EuroClone, and the compact, user-friendly Mupid-One system from Eurogentec.
For sensitive and safer DNA visualization, we provide Biotium gel stains and solutions, including GelRed® & GelGreen® non-mutagenic DNA gel stains. In addition, Biotium’s TBE buffer for preparative and analytical gels ensures reliable performance and consistent results across your electrophoresis workflows.
Agaroses
Agarose gels are essential for DNA and RNA electrophoresis, enabling separation, analysis and recovery of nucleic acids. With different formulations and concentrations, you can tailor resolution, run time and sample recovery for everything from routine PCR checks and blotting to high‑resolution fragment analysis, cloning and PFGE.
FlashGel system
The FlashGel® System is a fast, user‑friendly platform for DNA and RNA electrophoresis, ideal for quick checks at the bench. Precast cassettes and a compact dock with integrated blue‑light visualization eliminate gel casting, UV exposure and reduce sample use.
FlashGel® separates DNA in about 5 minutes and RNA in under 30 minutes, using 5–20 times less sample than traditional agarose gels. Real‑time visualization lets you monitor band migration.
Mupid One electrophoresis system
Mupid® One is a compact, user‑friendly agarose gel electrophoresis system designed for routine DNA analysis in modern laboratories. With an integrated smart power supply, low buffer consumption and a full set of included accessories, it offers a safe, space‑saving and efficient solution for everyday gel runs.
Nucleic acid gel stains
Biotium’s nucleic acid gel stains are designed as ultra-sensitive, safer replacements for ethidium bromide and SYBR stains in DNA and RNA gel electrophoresis. Choose ready-to-use pre-coated agarose kits, versatile GelRed®/GelGreen® formats, or visible stains like DNAzure® for UV‑free workflows.
Reliant minigels
Reliant™ Gels are precision manufactured for reproducible resolution of DNA sizes from 8 bp to 10 kb and designed for verification of RNA integrity and are guaranteed RNase-free. Compatible with most minigel chambers, and available with versatile format options.
TAE and TBE buffer powder packets
Biotium’s ready-to-use 1X TAE and 1X TBE buffer powder packets offer convenient preparation of 1 L electrophoresis buffers for nucleic acid separation in agarose and polyacrylamide gels. Each box contains 50 pre-measured packets for consistent, reproducible buffer preparation with no pH adjustments required and room temperature storage.
