FlashGel™ System
Rapid DNA/RNA electrophoresis with real time results in minutes
The FlashGel® System is a fast and user‑friendly platform for DNA and RNA electrophoresis, ideal for quick checks and routine analysis at the bench. It uses precast cassettes and a compact dock with integrated blue‑light visualization, so there is no gel casting, no UV exposure and minimal sample consumption.
Designed for speed and convenience, FlashGel® separates DNA in about 5 minutes and RNA in less than 30 minutes, while using 5–20 times less sample than traditional agarose gels. Real‑time visualization lets you watch bands migrate and capture publication‑quality images directly via the FlashGel® Camera and software.
Two cassette options are available:
- Standard FlashGel® cassettes for rapid, high‑resolution DNA and RNA separation.
- FlashGel® FLX cassettes for maximum flexibility, enabling both DNA and RNA separation with the same cassette when used with FlashGel® Prestain Loading Buffers, and offering an extended shelf life of up to 24 months.
With optional DNA recovery formats, you can separate and recover DNA directly from the cassette in about 10 minutes - no band excision or purification columns required.
Please note: When using FlashGel® FLX Cassettes, the appropriate FlashGel® DNA or RNA Prestain Loading Buffer must be added to all samples and to the markers/ladders to enable visualization.
