Eurogentec
Custom polyclonal antibody production services
Eurogentec produce custom polyclonal antibodies at small and large scales in various host species from small rodents to large animals. Their fast polyclonal antibody production program - Speedy 28-Day - generates a strong and quick immune response in only 28 days of immunization. The protocols can also be adated to meet the specific needs of each your project.
Polyclonal antibody production
Eurogentec offers two main types of polyclonal antibody production programs: the standard and fast polyclonal antibody programs. These programs are designed to cater to different research needs by providing flexibility in terms of speed and specificity of antibody production.
Species offered
Eurogentec produces custom polyclonal antibodies using various host species, including mice, rats, rabbits and goats, in addition to larger animals such as alpacas and llamas.
Standard vs. fast protocols
- 87-day standard protocol: This is Eurogentec’s conventional immunization program that spans 87 days. It involves multiple injections and ELISA testing to ensure the development of a strong immune response. The program can be extended if higher antibody titres are desired.
- 28-day Super Speedy protocol: Known as the Speedy 28-Day program, this fast-track immunization protocol is designed to generate a quick immune response within just 28 days. It involves frequent boosts and is particularly suited for generating antibodies against post-translational modifications (PTMs).
These programs provide researchers with the flexibility to choose the best timeline and specificity for their antibody production needs.
Chicken antibodies
Chicken IgY antibodies are produced in eggs from chicken immunization. Using non-mammalian hosts like chicken allows for obtaining good immune responses when the antigen is a highly conserved mammalian protein.
IgY can be isolated from egg yolk. Four eggs contain as many antibodies as the serum from one rabbit.
Antibodies against post-translational modifications
Eurogentec specializes in producing custom antibodies against post-translational modifications (PTMs) such as phosphorylation, acetylation, methylation, ubiquitinylation, and SUMOylation.
The process involves immunizing host animals with PTM peptides using either a Speedy 28-day protocol or a classical 87-day protocol. The peptides used as immunogens are typically 13 to 16 amino acids long, containing multiple epitopes that can be targeted by specific antibodies. The immune response generates a complex mixture of polyclonal antibodies, some of which recognize the PTM itself, while others target the non-modified part of the peptide.
The antibodies are then purified by passing the serum through a column containing the PTM-peptide, allowing the collection of antibodies that specifically bind to the peptide
Camelid antibody & VHH production
Eurogentec offer custom polyclonal antibody generation from alpaca and llama immunization.
They can also develop and produce single domain antibody - VHH from Heavy-Chain only antibodies exclusively found in Camelids.
Other custom antibody options
- Industrial production of antibodies
Eurogentec is equipped for large-scale antibody production, delivering large volumes of serum or purified monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies. They also excel in long-term project management, supplying multiple antibody batches over time.
- Antibody additional services
Eurogentec offers downstream services to configure antibodies for final assays, including purification, labeling, ELISA, fragmentation, and epitope mapping, complementing each antibody project.
- Monoclonal antibody service
Eurogentec has decades of experience producing custom monoclonal antibodies from murine hybridomas, generating mAbs exclusively through in vitro culture for research laboratories, biotech, and pharma companies.
